We have to run the table and win all 7. That would make us 29-26 with a solid shot at playoffs. Three games remaining against Jazz including season finale. Gotta win at least 2 of those but all three would be better. With the addition of Hickson and the emergence of Matthews' shooting, I think we can do this. If Felton isn't cutting it, though, KC can't be afraid to give Flynn a chance- survival of the fittest at point guard. Go Blazers P.S. Nate, Nik, and MM- I know you want to tank. No need to beat a dead horse. You've been heard. This is for the fans who are still cheering for their team. Peace.
I didn't say your opinion was invalid. It's very valid but I know it. This thread wasn't me merely stating my opinion. I was providing specific facts and a strategy that might get us into the playoffs. You all merely saying "I don't want to make the playoffs" yet again wouldn't have added anything new to the thread. This was a thread to start breaking down how we can make the playoffs for those who wish to make the playoffs. Also- the team is clearly trying to win and the players have said so, so it doesn't make sense for you to try to convince me that we shouldn't win. Even if it's valid idea/strategy to lose, it's a moot point. They're trying to win. Let's deal with the reality of what is actually happening.
So I'm gonna go ahead and beat the dead horseback a little (fuck it why not?) For all of the people that want to squeak into the playoffs I get that you must believe that some kind of miracle run is going to happen ... but just how much of a miracle are we talking about? Second round? And then what? A pick in the twenties that won't mean a damn thing to this team's longterm future. Half the team gone anyway because of expiring contracts? I just want to hear the end-game described. Does a 1% chance of getting by OKC and getting to watch an extta 8 or 9 games really make it worth it to miss out on the chance at a real differnce maker that might give this team 4 or 5 more chances to maybe do something truly meaningful down the line? Don't get me wrong if I thought this team was on the cusp of being great I'd say push the chips in and let it ride, but if you guys were being honest you'd admit that isn't the case right now.
