The police report hasn't been made public. There was a leak, we don't know the story.

any murder that has ever happened without witnesses, is just "self defense! i swear it mr officer he was coming right at me!"

i think this idiot will see a little jail time, and should, even though i dont think he "hunted him down" or whatever, he was still grossly irresponsible and lead to the kids death

They'll arrest you and charge you with manslaughter for shooting a burglar in your own home.

Not if you are being physically accosted and fear for your life. In many of these types of cases, the burglar is running away or not bashing your head into the ground. In Zimmerman's case, he claimed self defense. He had injuries consistent with his version of the incident.

    From your link:

So despite the police leaking their report presumably to strengthen their case that they didn't whitewash the investigation, there is no information or evidence to substantiate YOUR CLAIM that Zimmerman was walking back to his car as he says, that he was jumped and attack first.

    Nobody knows. Especially not you.

Yep. And manslaughter was the recommendation by the lead investigator:

    http://abcnews.go.com/US/trayvon-ma...orge-zimmerman-manslaughter/story?id=16011674

    Oh, snap.

Now the attorneys are going to be under some serious heat. Resignations to follow.

    No.

It means keep investigating. Don't cut it short. Don't do a quick and crappy job.

We already know they didn't canvass the neighborhood. They didn't get back to all the witnesses who tried to offer information. They didn't look at Trayvan's cell phone. They didn't re-interview Zimmerman. They didn't drug test Zimmerman. He wasn't interviewed by Homicide at first.

    So many problems.

Self defense is what you argue in court as a defense. They arrest him and arraign him and a judge can set him free or hold him for trial.

The police do get some leeway. A cop can pull you over and decide to not give you a ticket. Or let it slide that he saw you jaywalking.

Those are really minor infractions though.

It seems there is enough evidence to at least make an arrest. When you have a community watch captain carrying a gun when he's not suppose to and following a "suspicious" person when he's told not to it calls into question his actions that night.

There's also the questionable police conduct in the investigation of the fatal shooting, including the "correction" of at least one eyewitness' account and their reluctance to releasing the 911 tapes.

uhh, they did keep on investigating. Like I stated, the police did not close the case.

Why would they drug test Zimmerman, you can't do that without probable cause or a warrant.

Arrest him based on what? If they felt they don't have enough to convict him, they can't just arrest and arraign. Again, you are advocating basically infinite detention here.

What is the evidence? That's basically what we're looking for here that no one has provided.

If he isn't supposed to be carrying a firearm, where is the weapons charge?

What law did he break by following a suspicious person?

I wonder what side Romney, or Santorum take on this issue. This can be a key issue for those guys....You know those guys think the black guys obviously guilty and deserved to be shot.
