Fuck, let's make it happen. I'd say Mags, myself, and a few others have been pimpin' it for a bit, now. Hoes. He looked good tonight, other than a 2-3 minute stretch in the 3rd. After looking like a rook for a few minutes, he bounced back and was more agressive on both sides of the floor. Tells me he has some pride and some competetiveness, and doesn't want to look like a bitch on the floor (aka Babbitt).
LOL.... the guy is really good.... not to mention they kept running the pick and roll on him. More like JJ Hickson's defense on Westbrook wasn't exactly inspiring.

If I were Blazers' management, I think I'd want to play Flynn and Babbitt as many minutes as they can handle, just to see what they can really do. Flynn is short, but there are a lot of short PGs who thrive in the league. Darren Collison comes to mind. Flynn was a very good college player and #6 pick in the draft, lost his starting job in Minny which was a losing situation and they kept drafting PGs looking for "the answer." He may not be the answer, but he may also be a quality contributor to the young team the Blazers are becoming. A lightning quick tiny PG is really hard for even Derrick Rose to cover. Babbitt should have seen minutes in game situations (not garbage time) all along. Not necessarily regular minutes off the bench, but when situations allowed it. Like the Bulls play Jimmy Butler. It's enough to get him some seasoning against the best competition. I like his skill set, and he could develop into a nice 3-4 who can give you rebounding and stretch the floor with his 3pt shooting.
Yes, Babbitt should have gotten a few minutes each game (I posted that last season and everyone responded like I was Donald Duck), but that's McMillan for you. Let's hope we get a "normal" (as I like to say) coach who doesn't smother rookies with career-ruining inhibitions. McMillan ruined so many guards. Flynn's defense will never be McMillan-quality becsuse he's only 6 feet, but if he can get some shooting confidence (the previous regime would have denied minutes permanently) he can at least be a top sub. I'm reluctant to hope that a mouse will start, especially one passed along by 2 teams before us. Too much to hope for.

A PG is always lost in his rookie year. Nolan will last many years in the league. He sure is more advanced than Bayless or Armon Johnson were.
My immediate Pros and Cons on Flynn after last night Pros. 1. Lightning quick 2. Has good court vision Cons. 1. Can't play defense, or wont 2. Can't finish at the rim 3. Does not have a consistent jumper Agree? Disagree?
Nolan struggled and while I don't disagree with you, remember that Flynn has been in the NBA for 3 years, while this is Nolan's rookie year
He looked very unsure of himself at first, but he got confidence as the game went on. I'm wondering if that will help his shot. The defense, though, looked bad.
Bottom line IMO is that as a group our PG's simply suck, perhaps worse PG group in NBA, and I would be very happy if none of them were back next year
