Seriously, he checked out a while ago. Let him hitch on with some playoff-bound crew. But he has to agree not to pick up his option for next season and cut into our capspace...
If they could work it out that would be great, but I think it's too late for him to hook onto a playoff roster isn't it?
If you cut him he's guaranteed that contract for next season and it's on our books for sure. Just let him play it out, opt out, and leave.
Now that Felton is better, the scrutiny falls upon Crawford. For the first 9 years of his career, I think the most wins his team ever had was 33. The last 2 years with Atlanta were higher. He's used to losing. Our coach should study exactly how he was used in Atlanta's plays.
Our coach is too busy trying to convince the security at the Rose Garden that he actually works for the team.
Just bench his ass. They should have taken a second rounder for him because if he somehow decides to re up with us, I am going to laugh my ass off at this team. Bye bye imaginary salary cap
If we had a young SG on our team that we wanted to give minutes to, you might have an argument to cut Crawford. But since Williams is out for the rest of the year, we don't. Also if yo want to give our young PG's a fair evaluation then you have to surround him with NBA talent. As it is I saw quite a few passes by Smith last night that would have been assists if the Blazer would have made the shot (or not committed a Offensive foul) Having only Wes to work with is not enough. We really have no choice.
He has to be able to get a better deal somewhere else, right? He's due 5mil for 1 year guaranteed. I'm sure some dumbass team like the Clips/Wolves will give him ~MLE. (at least I hope they will-- wouldn't it be hilarious if Nate and Crawful re-united in LA?!)
People are different. Like you having 400 ish posts, mostly complaining about other posters and not even talking about the team.
I knew coming into the season that Jamal was a terrible defender, but the level of just how bad he's been is monumental. Having Horford, Smith and Johnson with him in ATL, was a blessing, because they must've saved his ass 20 times a game, and allowed him to justbe an offensive player. Felton is in the same boat to, just a horrible perimeter defender! At some point, whomever the new GM and Coach are, need to address the problem. The Blazers will NEVER win big unless we can stop the point of attack, which is the guy with the ball. Charles Jenkins surpassed his career high in the first quarter the other night on his way to nearly 30 points. How are you supposed to contain Westbrook or Rose, if you can't even stay in from of Charles Jenkins?
