I was just looking at his stats, he put up some really nice numbers right before he got hurt a couple weeks ago. Still only 23.

Injured most of the year, but did quite well...

Most impressive is the 42% from 3pt. Somewhat small sample size, but still...

Would definitely welcome him back to PDX if the stars were to align somehow.

Meh it's not a knee injury...

I brought it up because he's a FA this summer. Would be a great pickup.

A 1st round pick that we used (plus another pick and Przy) to get G Wallace, who we used to get the potential #4 pick this year.

It's funny. Bayless put up good numbers and the Raptors sucked. He's out with injury and the much-maligned Calderon is back, and the Raptors go on a tear.

Yeah, I'd love to get Bayless back.

In other news, the guy we traded to get Bayless is actually putting up good numbers AND leading a really REALLY crappy team to some surprising wins. Including potentially, against us tonight. I guess steroids don't add much.

Either of them would be great to have back, our PGs are weak sauce

Yea wish we had Bayless' awesome dribble with your head down skills, exactly what we need in a PG.

It's better than Nolan "can't do shit" Smith and Raymond "sandbagging" Felton.

And no one said Bayless is a PG. He IS a ball handler though, which would be good 'cause ours suck.

Who cares. Bayless isn't a PG. Frankly, I don't like tweeners and that's him.

Maybe he's better now (doubtful) but when he was here, he played only in ballhog mode.

Oh ya? I'm sure he's just looking to pass it every time he touches the ball during those 10-12 minutes McMillan played him per game (most games).

During the games he got meaningful minutes, he put up near double-digit assists multiple times.

Should I mention he's improved his assists every season? That he averaged about 5 assists per this year (when you adjust for a couple low-minute outings)?

That's not bad. I'm not trying to defend him, but you're just spewing stuff...

After criticism for many games with zero assists here, he forced himself to get a few assists when he brought it downcourt and passed to the waiting outside shooter. He still ballhogged like a bull in a china shop, a black hole when he got passed the ball later in the clock.

In a perfect world you'd have Bayless to be your off-the-bench microwave guy ... as a starting point guard? I don't love him so much. But whatever, that ship has sailed.

I do like him off the bench in short stints.

I'd rather have Bayless at SG than Batum or Matthews.
