He had around 20 points 8 rebounds and some assists, but I remember it most because it was the first NBA game I have ever gone to.Game 2: 03-04 Season.Raptors at PistonsI sat about 20 rows up, in the corner. The seats were crappy, but my Uncle who is the Meijer/Pistons sponsorship manager was friends with a Palace manager who got us into a room at halftime right next to the Pistons lockerroom. There was a bunch of snacks and food and some couches to sit on, and Rick Mahorn was in there and I met him and shook his hand. When it was time for the players to go back onto the court I gave all of them a high-five when they passed by. I was star struck to say the least.Game 3: 03-04 PostseasonNets at PistonsI was in the 8th row for one of the greatest playoff games of all time IMO. With about 4 seconds left the Pistons were down three when they inbounded it to Chauncey, who ran to half court, and hit the three of the backboard. It was right in front of me, and the place was deafining. It the remaining 3 overtimes, Brian Scalabrine, had the ONLY good game I have ever seen him play and hit 5 threes in overtime out of NOWHERE. Still was an amazing expericance.Game 4:04-05 PreseasonWizards at PistonsI was in the 6th row for this preseason game where Tayshaun Prince had some amazing alley-oops. The Pistons lost but it was still a fun game to be at.Game 5:04-05 Season76ers at PistonsI sat in the 2ND ROW, behind the Pistons bench for this game. It was retro night at the Palace, Bill Laimbeer and George Blaha, two Pistons Televison and radio announcers were dressed up in '70's outfits commentating on the game in front of us. The most memorible moment other then being so close to the action and acctually hearing the disscussions at timeouts was a Reggie Milleresque block by Tayshaun on Allen Iverson on a fast break, one that I called BTW. And at the end of the game, it was close Tayshaun hit a shot to put us up by two, and on the next possesion Rasheed canned a three to seal the win.Game 6: 04-05 SeasonCeltics at PistonsI sat in the 11th row, in the corner for this game. Paul Pierce was on fire for most of the game, and Ricky Davis dunked on Darko. Rasheed had an awesome game too. My most memorible moment though was when at halftime a ball was tossed to me by one of the Palace Patrol guys. He had a basketball hoop over his head where you are supposed to shoot, I threw it and I let go too late and hit an old lady in the 1st row in the back of the head. Game 7: 05-06 PreseasonBulls at PistonsBen sat out this one, but Rasheed played and had an awesome fastbreak dunk. Tayshaun was very exciting as well, so was Amir Johnson. In all a very fun experiance.Now you know how to post these.
Ive been to two games in my lifetime.First one was 2 years ago, early in the season. Where the Mavs whooped the Heat in Miami early in the season. I was literally 10 rows from courtside. Never knew that Shaq was that big The other game I went to was to this years 2nd round game 2 of Heat-Nets. This where Miami killed NJ, and Wade drilled 3's all over the place as he had a 17 point first quarter.Both were awe-striking experiences.
04-05-Warriors @ Raptors. This was before Baron Davis got there, and Jason Richardson was also injured. The Raptors won this game. Mo Pete scored a game highy 27 points I believe.05-06-Suns @ Raptors-The Suns scored 120 points this game, and totally blew us out on offense. We could not stop them at all, especially with Bosh out.05-06-Heat @ Raptors-Shaq was injured but Dwyane Wade killed us. We actually almost won this game because of Mike James, Charlie V, and Mo Pete all played good games. It was a 2 point game with the Final seconds emerging, but then Dwyane stole a pass and he basically iced their 2 point lead for them to win it..I've been to 3 games. I think that is a decent number because I dont even live in Toronto. I went to the Suns and Heat games in one trip last year too btw..So the Raptors are 1-2 when I see them play.
I dont live near any arenas so I have only been to 1 game.I went to a Wizards-Sixers game when Jordan was with Washington. Seeing Iverson and Jordan play were awesome. I even shook Jordans hand :yess:
I went to a Bucks/Knicks games 3 years ago and Spree and Houston went for over 30pts each, they hit everything and the Bucks could do nothing against them, Redd hit a three to get us into overtime and he hit a jumper to get us into double OT but we lost...it was a fun game.
I've been to quite a few Heat games over the years. Only one this season early though and what do you know? It was a finals pre-view. Mavs at Heat. I had courtside seats 13 rows back. Real nice seats, but we got completely blown out. It was a hard game to watch, also left me scared when it came finals time.Another reallly excitining game I went to was Heat vs. Hornets. Game 1, Round 1 2004 playoffs. The year before we got Shaq and Dwyane Wade's rookie season. Actually one of my favorite teams. Anyways, it came down to a thriller in the final seconds, where the heat were down by one with seconds left on the clock and the ball. Wade drove in and hit a game winning floater with .7 left. And we won the game. :yahoo:
