I'm kind of looking forward to rebuilding with a young, crappy team. What is the point of making the playoffs anyway? We're just going to get tossed out by the corrupt NBA refs. I found this vid online, which reminded me of how horribly the refs cheated us in game 1 against the Mavs. Portland would have easily won that game, and perhaps the series, if it had been called fairly. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NORVvbkn0MM&feature=related
It was a pretty horribly called game 1 and 2. Mavs got away with a lot but after the houston series I kinda expect us to just get fucked over by the refs in the post season.
There is no point in making the playoffs, We need to build through the draft get superstars and then we'll get the calls in the post season
I thought this thread was going to be, "What's the point in watching the Blazers for the remainder of the season?" Honestly, the best reasons I can think of are Babbit and Hickson. Yeesh.
Trust me, the refs will have almost zero bearing on the Blazers ability to legitimately compete with the Thunder in a playoff series. Everybody went crazy last game when the Blazers got it to within five the other night, but have no doubt the Thunder were in full on sleep-walking mode at that point and when they put their minds to it they promptly got the lead back up to around 20.
Tonights game against the Clippers was yet another example showing that the NBA doesn't want the Blazers to beat the big market teams. They were blatantly biased against the Blazers tonight. Who cares, because we're tanking right? But imagine if this were a playoff game. This kinda shit would happen if Portland got into a playoff series against an LA team.
