I don't know about a max deal for Hickson but I said when we signed him I liked the move. I for sure think we need to keep him next year. However I was also someone who thought we should sign D Miles to a big deal after his contract year.

So with your plan, we're not keeping Batum? Or Babbitt? Or Smith?

I was a strong supporter for the signing of Wes Matthews two years ago. But that was as a back up to Roy. He is fine as a part time starter, but IMO SG is where the question marks should be when filling in the blanks in FA and the draft.
Jeremy Lamb would suit me just fine.

I think Batum is going to cost more than he's worth, and I don't think Smith should be more than a 3rd string PG. Forgot about Babbitt though to be honest. Throw him in there as well!

I'd take Lamb but only if once or pick comes up Marshal/Sullinger/Zeller are all off the board. Or if we take a big man with NJ's pick if we get it i'm fine with Lamb at 12.

Obviously. Aldridge is in love with the carefree 15-footer. But to hedge my bet, I might keep Aldridge as Babbitt's substitute at SF, with Batum moving to backup Elliot Williams at SG.

    Superb game from Hickson.
Love the guys tenacity & energy; both of which this team sorely needs.

We need to seriously ensure that we can keep this guy.

That dunk over Jordan was sick. I hope LA took notes.

Pretty sure he's an RFA after this season, so it's our prerogative. If he can keep up this kind of play, I would seriously consider trading Aldridge for a point guard (if we can't sign Deron Williams).

Loved what Hickson is doing but lets slow down and take a deep breath on the idea of trading LA, we need good bigs badly and are not in a position to trade a "proven" one for a guy who is playin very good in THREE games in a contract y, we have some excellent draft picks for that. Also, with Hickson's inside game he an LA can work well together.

Yep, I definitely want to see Aldridge and Hickson playing extended minutes together for the rest of the season. If they work together as well as they should, it could really impact how we draft and who we go after with our cap space. If Hickson can be a solid big, either as a starter next to Aldridge, or playing about 30 - 32 MPG backing up both the 4 and 5, it will give us the luxury of filling other needs with our picks and cap space.

Even if we keep Hickson, I still want us to use one of our high picks (likely the highest one) on the best 4/5 available when we pick. This draft is really deep at the 4 and 4/5. You can never have too many good bigs. You need a solid three man rotation at the 4/5. Perhaps Aldridge and Hickson can be 2 of the 3, but we need at least one more good big man. Best case, we end up with someone who's better than both Aldridge and Hickson. Worst case, we end up with a talented rookie backing both positions.

Well, obviously Hickson isn't as good as Aldridge, but I'm more thinking along the lines of windows and I'm worried Aldridge won't fit ours with a rebuild.

If we could re-sign Hickson and Flynn, draft another big and a young guard, I like our core with Batum.

I would trade Aldridge to the Kings for Evans, and their lottery pick.

I would not do that trade at all, Evans is getting worse not better and we already have two likely good picks.
