We should make a run at him regardless!

No. We need a young guy. I would draft Kendall Marshall before I would sign Steve Nash.

This is what I am thinking:

    PG: Nash | Marshall

No better mentor to learn from.

Factor in the NJ pick and depending on where our pick lands (Anthony Davis, Andre Drummond, Cody Zeller, etc.) having a player like Nash would jumpstart their career.

Though, convincing Nash is another thing.

No. Don't start a rebuild with a 97 year old PG

I've been wanting Nash all season and I think he would be perfect for a rebuild. I think we should bring in Nash to mentor Flynn. Nash can start for two years, then Flynn will be able to take over in a couple years. It's a good rebuild!

If you're Nash, and you're a million years old, do you sign with a rebuilding team that has no shot at winning a championship? OR, do you sign for less with a team like the Heat, Magic, or Lakers and get a legit shot at winning the championship?

Well Nash isn't like a Malone or Barkley. He actually is loyal and
Just wants to be on a winning team. Portland would be his best opportunity to be paid well and still win. Win it all? Well if he wants that then he better except min mle on the "sure bet".

Mr. Loyalty just said that he wants out and has supposedly been talking about the Heat.

Yeah but also said playing in Portland would be lovely too. So if there is a shot at him then go for it. Saying "well he wants to go to a contender so why bother offering anything" is a total Vulcan move. Being proactive and tossing an offer is better than not doing a thing.

Did any of you actually listen to his interview on the Dan Patrick Show? If not, please don't comment on his "desire to leave" until you actually hear what he said and how he said it.

He said that before we went into complete rebuilding mode. I doubt he'd want to play on this team as it stands.

A rebuilding team has no business signing Nash

    This.
As for the heat, I love how these rumors get started. Player being interviewed
Asked about a team and says sure I'd listen, and bam, Nash interested in ring chasing in Miami.
