He's pissed at the Bulls for not excersizing his option. Throw all the money you can at that guy. He and Pop are the best coaches in the league.

Similar circumstance with McMillan, we paid him more than Seattle and McMillan's not even close to the coach that Tib's is.

    Sorry, Denny.

What about Jerry Sloan? He's 70 years old but by the time he's ready to retire Kaleb will be ready to be a full-time head coach.

Coaches picked by owners never win titles.

PA needs to hire a competent GM, give him more power than Miller, and GTFO of his way.

Bulls' Tom Thibodeau refutes report of discontent

While it’s only a matter of time before the Chicago Bulls give Tom Thibodeau a contract extension, ESPN.com’s Marc Stein reported Friday night that the head coach has made his displeasure known due to the fact that he hasn’t received a new deal from the organization.

The Bulls signed Thibodeau to a two-year contract plus a team option in 2010 after parting ways with current Los Angeles Clippers coach Vinny Del Negro.

Thibodeau, who served two decades as an assistant coach before landing the Bulls’ head job, has had plenty of success over the course of his two seasons in Chicago. He won the NBA’s Coach of the Year award last season when the Bulls compiled the league’s best record (62-20); earned the right to coach the Eastern Conference All-Stars in this year’s annual showcase and became the fastest head coach to 100 regular-season victories in NBA history after last week’s 85-59 rout of the Orlando Magic.

Still, the Bulls have not inked the 54-year-old Thibodeau to a contract extension. Chairman Jerry Reinsdorf told the Chicago Tribune in February that “we certainly hope and expect that Tom will be with the Bulls well beyond his current contract,” but, as the ESPN.com report stated, the club has a long-standing history of being involved in tough negotiations when it comes to re-upping a prominent figure of the team.

Chicago is 26th in Pace under Thibodeau this year, and was 22nd last year. You think Nate ran ISOs with Roy? Have you seen Chicago with Rose under Thibodeau?

They've won a ton of games without Rose.

Funny thing is Portland had a better OFF EFF under Nate last year than Chicago did with Tibs.

Tibs is the opposite of D'Antoni, yet both are being asked for on this board.

They're 6-3 without Rose, and they're boring to watch. Nate won a bunch of games without Roy and Oden, too.

EDIT - they're also losing at home to Houston right now.

you're math is a bit off.

Rose has played 34 games. The Bulls have played 54 games.

That's a weeeeeee bit more than 9 games.

    OK

Chicago is 28-6 with Rose, and soon to be 14-7 without him. Losing an MVP isn't easy.

Most people here would complain about how slow the tempo would under TT. I think he would be an amazing hire though!

Losing an MVP with no other star players on his team and he has the best record in the league. Are you insinuating that McMillan's a better coach than Tibs?

You'd think so, but there were plenty of people upset when we won 54 games with a very young team.
