Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Terrence Jones towers over Thomas Robinson when they stand by each other. If Robinson is 6'10" in shoes, then Jones is nearly 7'.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects J'Covan Brown announced he's going to the draft. He'll be a borderline 1st rounder. Guy can put the ball in the hole.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Robinson must have been wearing elevator shoes. He's at best 6'8" in shoes, if that.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects someone on espn today called him a taller bird man, so you're not the only one making the comparison. I just read T Ross declared and hired an agent. He's probably late teens/early 20's so shouldn't impact choice too much.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I wouldn't put too much stock in camp measurements. The summer Greg was entering the draft he measured 7'1" at one camp and 7'0" at another. Jerryd Bayless was measured 6'4" at one, etc. Robinson looked shorter than 6'10" while Davis looked a little taller than his listed height.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects Question--If we do in fact get the Nets' pick this year (say, #7) and the FO decides that the BPA at that spot is Bradley Beal, and then they take Kendall Marshall with our pick, would you be upset with taking two guards in the lottery in the deepest, most big-man-heavy draft in years?
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I would. Beal is too short to be a SG in this league. I would be ok with Marshall at the back of the lottery, but I think there are better front court guys available
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I think we need to draft BPA no matter what. Doesn't matter if it's a guard or big man.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I don't care who the team drafts, they just need more talent period. If you overlap at certain positions, that's why the NBA allows trades.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects So if Beal happens to measure out at 6'5" in shoes, then you'd be OK with him?
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects I feel the same way. Lets get more talent. Drafting by need has not worked out to well for us in the past. And Beal will be gone by the 4th pick.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects That's horse doodle. It's not like Beal is 6'1 or 6'2, he's a solid 6'4 6'5. Dwyane Wade is also 6'5.
Re: 2012 NBA Draft Prospects If Beal's wingspan measures out well, (Wade has a wingspan near 6'11"), then that would offset any height problem he apparently has.
