LaNacion.com/HoopsHype.com - Carlos Delfino told LaNacion.com in an exclusive interview that he wants out of Detroit. "I want to leave Detroit, but they don't let me go," said Delfino. "I had a pretty good offer from Washington and others from the Lakers and the Nuggets, but Detroit will only let me go to play in Europe. The FC Barcelona interest is true, but I would rather play in Italy", said Delfino.

Be gone with him. We can get good value for him and if he doesn't want to play even when this year he will get the minutes then Happy Trails 'Fino.

That's weak that Detroit will only let him play in Europe. What's the point of that?

I kind of wonder where all these spanish articles are coming from and why now. After we traded away your main competition from last year and replaced him with Ronald Dupree, don't get me wrong here I love ronald dupree and think he could make an impact, but unless he has improved a ton from the last time he was in the D. Carlos Delfino should easisly be able to get the majority of backup minutes. Why would he want to go to the Nugget, Lakers or Washington? All these teams have great players that would the G/F posistion. Carmelo in Denver and they just got J.R. Smith. Kobe in LA and they just got Maurice Evans from the pistons, why in the world would he want to go to LA, to compete with Evans again. Washington has Arenas and Caron Butler.

Damn Delfino sounds like a real punk. What is his problem and why would anyone want him on their team the way he is acting?

Not really, he's sort of like in a Darko situation, where he didn't get much playing time and wants to play. So it's obvious the two sides aren't working out. Some of it is his fault as he's not played up to his potential but if it's not working out, just let him go. I just don't understand why Dumars would only allow him to play for Europe. Take the best deal for him and both sides are happy.

Exactly, his value isnt going to get any higher in Europe. If teams are asking for him, deal him and at least get something before he becomes even more worthless.

The Wizards offered a trade for him. He could help your team I just don't know what you would give us for him.

I wont cry if he leaves. This isn't the first time he's been "disgruntled" in the motor city.

I mean I've always liked Delfino but if he is not going to get the chance in Motown this could open things up for Acker. The Pistons have trade bait w/ Delfino and Orlando's first round pick so maybe there is someone out there we get possibly not now but if Delfino doesn't work out before the the deadline. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>Pistons don't put much stock in story that Delfino wants outBy A. Sherrod BlakelyAUBURN HILLS -- The Detroit Pistons are putting little stock in a story out of Argentina in which forward Carlos Delfino reportedly told La Nacion newspaper that he wants to leave the Pistons but that they won't let him.The story is in striking contrast to conversations the Pistons have had with the 6-foot-7 Delfino, an Argentine native who will be in his third NBA season."In our face-to-face meetings, he has given us every indication that he wants to play in Detroit, that he doesn't want to be traded, and that he wants to be the best NBA player he can be," John Hammond, Detroit's vice president of basketball operations, said on Monday. "We fully expect him to come in and be a player that will contribute this season."</div> mlive.com

Joe Dumars doesn't believe what those Spanish articles are saying, so Delfino is probably staying.

I was just thinking if these Delfino rumors are true why not do a sign and trade w/ the kings for Wells? I mean this trade is highly unlikely especially since the Kings recently signed John Salmons and I doubt they want another 2/3. If we can pull this deal off that would definitley be a steal for us, it would allow Flip Murray to baCk up Billups and Wells to baCk up Hamilton. If this were to happen maybe Amir Johnson could possibly get a chance to show he can baCk up Prince? It's just a thought since Wells is still out there. HoLLa baCk

I see where your coming from, seeing as it would be good for the Kings to get at least something for Bonzi. But do we have the cap? Plus, look at the depth chart right now.PG: Billups / Hunter / AckerSG: Rip / Murray / DelfinoSF: Tay / Dupree / MaxielPF: Sheed / McDyess / AmirC: Nazr / Dale Davis / Cheick SambAdd Blalock, perhaps Cato and Delk, and were loaded. Bonzi wants minutes too, and he'd be ahead of Murray, but I don't know if Murray would be the right guy to back up Billups, with Hunter and Acker. Amir can't back up Tayshaun too, with Dupree and Maxiel in Detroit. I want that deal to go down, but I don't think we have the cap, or the minutes for Bonzi.

I think the Pistons will keep him overseas for at least a season or 2 and let him develop or they might send him to the NBDL. Secondly as I said in a previous post I just can't see Dale Davis at his age baCking up Nazr, I guess right now Maxiel might baCk up Sheed and McDyess will baCk up Nazr to go w/ a small lineup. I think Joe D should re-sign Cato at least for one more season so we could have some insurance and size. Finnaly I think Blalock might get sent to the NBDL too and if Delfino is traded it would make way for Acker. HoLLa baCk
