Brilliant plot by Zimmerman to tell the cops exactly where he was going to murder Trayvon Martin, his phone number, and his full name.
I'll also point out that Zimmerman clearly says "these assholes always get away" instead of "fucking c**ns", or whatever else was on that other doctored tape.
If I imagine that I'm GZ, I'm starting to think things could be worse. I may soon be part owner of NBC and MSNBC. I might have to hire some bodyguards, but the settlement from those scumbags that purposely misreported the whole thing should allow him to hire as many as he needs. So far, NBC lied. MSNBC lied. TM's Mom, who said he was on her porch when he first saw GZ, lied. (No link, heard on the radio.) Pretty sure his girlfriend made something up, but I can't recall. First I've heard about it. There are sick people out there. Looks like this happened almost a week ago? It's not like the hacker made up emails, edited them in the worst possible way, and then aired them on national TV in order to try and smear him. Nice 5 year-old photo of Trayvon Marting by Gawker, though. I wonder if there is a reason behind using that photo, instead of more recent photos? Seems as if everybody involved has an agenda.

At the end of the day Zimmerman has to be arrested and tried for this. We all have our opinions but I think the police have glossed this over.
What are you going to charge him with, based on his statement, the statements of the EMTs, the 911 call, and the statement of the eyewitness?
What kind of "murder", based on the police statements and eyewitness testimony? Best I could see is manslaughter, but there are varying degrees of murder. I'm just wondering how you would be able to get the known facts to line up with your charge. Or are you saying just charge him, and then try to find the facts? This is the USA, not the USSR. We actually have something called due process here, believe it or not.
Manslaughter. He shot and killed an unarmed person claiming self defense. He may be found innocent, but there's enough there to charge him.
Again, based on the available facts, what points to manslaughter? An eyewitness corroborates that self-defense claim. It's tragic, but Trayvon Martin should not have gone back and started beating on Zimmerman. Unless other facts come out, that's the only story available at this point.
The only real fact is the boy was shot dead. Let PapaG decide, or let the courts? Not a tough answer.
