Been considering this the last few days. I do enjoy Baseball, I do not enjoy Seattle teams and having them crammed down my throat.

I'm not hardcore or watch all 162 games or anything. But would love the ability to watch more out of market games than just NYY vs BOS every Saturday on fox.

Anyone try it out yet? Or have any alternative recommendations? I like that I would be able to watch it on the PS3 downstairs or Xbox upstairs at my place. The versatility of it seems cool.

I had MLB.Tv last year (regular, not premium) Loved it. I could watch just a few innings if that's all I had time for, or I could watch entire games. I like this type of package for a sport like baseball, where your favorite team is on every single day (aside from the couple of off-days per month). I must have watched 12-15 games/month (at least 6-7 innings/game), if not more. It was actually nice just having regular because I heard a lot about what other teams' broadcasters thought of my team (although like any sport, there are a lot of homers out there too).

I plan on re-upping with Premium this year. For $15 extra for the entire season.... why the fuck not? Plus, I think you have to go with Premium to use your Playstation 3 (or Xbox 360) now, which is how I typically watch. Plus, you can get games on your phone with the Premium, and the features are far better than the regular MLBTv. Anyway.... not sure if any cable or dish networks offer similar or better packages, but I loved this last year, and am re-upping. You never miss a moment of any game, if you so choose.

Oh my god! I can't watch 1 inning of baseball let alone the chance to watch 15 games a night!!!!! How do you have time to watch a game? I have the NBA league pass and if I skip free throws and commercials I can knock a game out in 1:30.

I have plenty of time because I have a job that allows me mad flexibility and I can watch games while at work. I'd probably watch more if there were more day games. Plus, I have a lot of friends in the area who are Giants fans (like myself), so I'll have at least one person over 2 times/week to catch a game.

I'd watch way more NBA if they had more early games. Actually.... no I wouldn't. NBA is rigged enough that I can barely stand to watch my own Blazers.

I have had premium before. It's awesome. Especially if you are in a fantasy or sim league.

Thanks for the ideas. Also I read somewhere that at one point there was a feature on archived games where you could watch it with only pitches that matter I.e. ball is in play or K or something like that. Anyone have problems with that?

There are many great baseball guys. I listened a few years ago when Uecker was calling a Brewers game. So much fun. They all seem to have such a passion for not only their teams, but the sport itself.

Thank you, believe me I will. But the best part is, when I'm with Mrs. HCP, we can do our thing, and baseball is slow enough, that I barely miss anything.

Mrs HCP loves baseball because when The HCP is home it's one of the few times she gets to see big bats and balls of any kind

LOL. Yeah, she always tells me that if she were a baseball player, she'd definitely be a catcher.

Cause The HCP makes her pitch. She says he makes her work on her delivery. He supposedly likes it low and inside.

Actually, it's because the catcher is always crouching low, or on one's knees, with balls constantly flying towards the catcher's face (but they most always end up right in the catcher's hands).
