Yeah, we suck at tanking but that was sweet for LMA.

    Why LaMarcus? Why? (sob)

Forget the donuts, it's like Felton was snorting pure can sugar tonight. It's time for an intervention. :(

That's standard Dirk M.O. Perhaps you missed him assaulting Batum last playoffs?

If you watched LMA's shot go in and weren't excited, you're not a Blazer fan!

Tank or not, to see our best player who has struggled in clutch situations hit a game winner at the buzzer is great to see!

    Yep.

Btw, guys. We broke the pattern. Came back from 15 down and actually won!

I'm happy for LaMarcus. I'll try not to blame him come draft time. It's all Felton's fault!

Although I'm a tanker, i have to admit I was rooting strong for the Blazers going down the stretch, especially after that BS out of bounds call.
That was sure Johnny Flynn's worst game; just one play really soured me on his prospects; waving off Babbit's call for the ball when he was being guarded by Terry. Plus he was trying to do stuff outside his capabilities all night.
On Thabeet, this is a case where Canale's optimism is hurting; he actually thinks he can rehabilitate this guy's career. Cannot be done.

This is nothing. Dre dropped 52 on DAL.

Aldrdige's game winner is the number 1 play on nba.com's Friday's Top 10.

You know, screw the whole tanking thing. Whenever you lace up your sneakers you play to win (and yes, I'm so old school I still call basketball shoes sneakers). I know many of the guys who played last night won't be here next season, but some of them, especially the younger guys, will be. And, a win like this, beating the defending champs in their own building, will boost the confidence of those young players. In order to be successful in the nba, you need to learn to win on the road and you need to learn how to win close games. Last night helped the young Blazers learn a little of both, and that's important considering how miserable they were in close games earlier this season (2-10). I also think it's more important than the potential difference between picking 11th and picking 10th in the upcoming draft.

I'm also happy for Kaleb Canales. I know I jokingly refer to him as "Skippy, the unpaid video intern", but that's actually a bit of a backhanded compliment. It references how far he's come from his very humble beginning within the organization, and a testament to how hard he has worked to get where he is today. Good for him, let him enjoy his moment in the sun, he's earned it.

Playing Thabeet is one of the most efficient ways of tanking, without making any of your starters play poorly on purpose.

So true. You can't rehabilitate something that was never "habilitated" in the first place.

LMA making a game-winning shot is #7 for ESPN's Top Plays, but Brandon Wright dunking twice in that same game, which his team lost, is #1.

No wonder hardly any of the young players entering the NBA know how to play the game. It's more important in terms of exposure to dunk in a losing effort than to hit a 17' foot jumper to win a game.
