He has a coach that has confidence in him and lets him play the way he plays best. But then, coaches don't matter, right? We lost our starting center and starting SF at the trade deadline, but are 7-6 (.538) since vs. 20-23 (.465) before. Turns out Skippy the unpaid video intern may actually be a better coach than Mr. Sonic. BNM
Felton is definitely in better shape than at the start of the season. But his game improved the instant Nate was let go. He's still a potential cancer and undependable, IMO.
Pretty sure Nate has coached more than 3 OT games... Your stat should say: Blazers in OT games when Felton was tanking on purpose 0-3 Blazers in OT games when Felton is trying 1-0
And we have a winner! After what he pulled this season, any coach or team-mate who puts trust in Felton is wearing a big "kick me!" sign on their back. Things didn't go his way, and he quit on the team. He will do it again.
I'm sure if Dwight Howard were available in a trade to Portland you would give him a pass for quitting on his team... You wouldn't say no to Lebron James either. Or Kobe Bryant...
Ya'll remember that one time when Lucy put the football and down and told Charlie Brown to kick the ball and she actually let him kick the ball? Yeah, me neither.
Easy to figure out. Look at his numbers pre trade deadline. They were horrible. After the deadline they have been almost very good. Now ask yourself.....what happened at the trade deadline that would make a PG look better?
List in your mind all the players of the last 2-3 years who are gone now. For every one of them, a few people on this board keep saying that they were subversive, quit on the team, were locker room cancers, etc. They never present any evidence. If someone plays beneath your expectations and you want him gone, it is unnecessary to make up tales. Just give the actual reasons.
Damn Felton for starting the tank early and damn Felton stopping the tank too soon. See ya in the funny papers fatboy slim!
As much as I dislike Felton, and as much as I felt it was time for Nate to go, Felton's game was actually starting to improve a few games before Nate hit the road.
Felton got abused by Jennings tonight and turned the ball over 5 times. I'm just wondering why the Kaleb Guy is playing him so many minutes.
