Yeah, but nba.com got it right. They had Aldridge's game winner as the number 1 play of Friday's Top 10. Winning the game is always more important than the highlight reel dunks (see Griffin, Blake).

The key is to identify and draft the few guys who do know how to play the game the right way (Brandon Roy, injuries aside, was such a player), rather than be blinded by freakish athleticism (Tyrus Thomas, for example). You need a minimum level of athleticism (Kevin Love yes, Adam Morrison no) to be able to compete at the NBA level, but athleticism alone (Gerald Green) is no guarantee of success at the highest level.

LMA is a white guy? I think winning is more important than a nice dunk, and buzzer beaters don't happen all that often in the NBA to beat the defending champs in their own building. Meh

If thinking a game-winning shot is a better play than some dunk in a losing effort, I guess I'll take your insult.

Who cares about Sportscenter top 10 plays? The target audience for that is 10 year olds. Its why its at the end of the show.

BNM, if you keep making so much sense, watch out, you may get banned or something (joke).

Spot on about athleticism plus knowing how to play the game.
