April 9, 2012. Nine games left. Joisey down to 7th! Blowzers at a solid 11th. The Nyets will finish 8th and we'll finish 12th. Not exactly my dream draft. Five of our last six are on the road, maybe that will help?

If we are going to not make the playoffs; I would like us to sit at #9. Ironically, #9 has won the #1 pick 4 times since the new lotto balls got incorporated. I would love for Jersey to drop to 6-7; which is entirely possible.

If Nicolas sits with his "owie," if LaMarcus gets a really nasty stomach virus and Thabeet can play 35 minutes a night, our dream of the ninth spot is well within reach!!

Have you seen the Nets remaining schedule? I think they win only 2 more games.

Damien Lillard? He's supposed to be the best PG coming out of the draft. It's a little crazy, because he looks like a "Damon type" player. Someone that is a score first PG. I don't know if I want a "Score First PG". I guess the other PG coming out if Kendal Marshall. He is considered a "true PG", but doesn't have a decent jumper. I don't know if I want that either.

I think if Portland gets #7 and #11; we should just get the BPA and trade them. Trying to draft for need could fuck us. I hope we don't make that mistake again. Hopefully we use the cap space to land a PG like Williams, Nash or Gorgac; then use the available cap space to use with our draft picks.

The Minnetanka Tankerwolves are really messing up things, and somebody needs to tell the Nets that they can't make the playoffs this year.

Depends on if you expect a 1 or 2 season rebuild.

We are going to land the #2 pick (ours), then get #8 from NJ. Would you be happy if this happens?

Yes, but it creates some issues with who to pick. Drummand and Henson or Jones III? I guess you could always trade down and get your PG, but we haven't fared too well in trading down.

I think Drummand will be the 2nd best player in this draft. My opinion. Then I would try my best to use the other pick and a couple players to land a all-star wing.

    Any particular wing in mind?

The odd part of this draft is that their are clear tiers, and picks 2 and 8 would be at the dangerous front end of those. If you had picks 4 and 14, you probably could get players with similar odds of success. After Davis, you have a bunch of question marks. Does Drummand have a motor or desire to really play? He has the body, but maybe not the mind. Robinson looks solid, but do you take him at 2? MKG has the leadership, but limited range for a wing--will the leadership be enough? Tier 3 starts around pick 8, with the twin twigs (Henson and P. Jones) and undersized PF T. Jones. Too far to reach for Marshall.

I was so happy when we made the Wallace trade. I thought there was a chance we could have a home-run draft.

Now I am back to thinking in terms of a bloop single. :sigh:

I think the wing doesn't have to be too young. Maybe someone like Nash as a free agent; then a trade for Josh Smith. Give them Craig Smith, Babbitt, Matthews and #8. Resign Flynn, Hickson and Batum.

All the players: Aldridge, Nash, Flynn, Hickson, Batum, E Will, Josh Smith, Thomas, Pryzbilla, Nolan Smith.

I think we can all forget about what players we may draft and instead think of what players we may get by trading the picks. Larry, Chad, and Paul want to win now while LMA is in his prime. They dont want to wait around for draft picks to develop.

Did we have to wait around for Roy to develop?
