Every day I will be writing reports on my favorite teams, Dallas Cowboys, LA Lakers, and NY Yankees. Here is my 1st report for the LA Lakers.Friday, July 21stWe lost him, we had him, and Mitch sat on his behind watching TV while Indiana jumped on the phone. All it would have took was Mihm, McKie, and Cook OR George in a sign and trade, but instead Al Harrington will be going back to Indiana. I have defended every move Mitch Kupchake has made so far, but now I have realized, the guy can't manage a team.Saturday, July 22ndPhil Jackson doesn't like to play rookies. That's one of the worst kept secrets. But assistant coach Kurt Rambis thinks Farmar is going to be a steal, and a great player. I watched him play at UCLA, and this guy knows how to run a team. I hope he's going to be great, and I have a feeling, he's going to have a break out year. It also doesn't hurt playing with the best player in the game, Kobe Bryant.Sunday, July 23rdMitch, the clock is ticking. You promised us fans some excitement this off-season, and you did a good job picking up Radmanovic, and Evans. But you really need to make a deal. Mihm is good trade bait, I like him, but if we can get something that is an upgrade in return, I will take it. Please, no more Chucky Atkins or Brian Grants. You have us in such a finacial hole already, don't ruin this organization, we should be winning championships constintly with Kobe Bryant, as long as you can put the pieces around him. Lamar Odom is a start, but the job isn't done.Monday, July 24thRonny Turiaf, after is open heart surgery, many people thought he'd never play again. Well, he came back a little bit after the first half of the season, and was very frustrated in limited playing time. But when he got his chance, he showed everyone that he is going to be a special player. I believe Andrew Bynum and Ronny Turiaf are the future down low. I think Turiaf is going to have a break out season, and get the fans excited. This guy enjoys life so much now, at does not take any thing for granted. You would see him on the sidelines dancing after every great play, and that's because he knows he's lucky to be alive.

Tuesday, July 25thI can guarntee to you right now, Kobe Bryant is the 2006-07 MVP. He should have been the MVP last year. Steve Nash was not the MVP, he had Shawn Marion, Leandro Barbosa, Raja Bell, Boris Diaw, and Tim Thomas. Kobe had, Lamar Odom. Some said the Lakers didn't have a good enough record to have Kobe the MVP. Well, this season the Lakers are going to improve that record by at least 5 games. The additions of Vladimir Radmanovic, Maurice Evans, and Jordan Farmar are going to go along way. The Lakers will see how Chris Mihm and Brian Cook performs after there surgerys. Kwame Brown had a great season down the stretch, and he's still only 22, so he has alot of basketball to play, and learn. Lamar Odom is going to finally show us that all-star caliber Small Forward from Rhode Island in him this year. I can see Luke Walton having a big year, he will make key plays this season. Vladimir Radmanovic is going to be huge this season. They will have Kobe drive in, draw the defence towards him, then kick it out to Radmanovic for 3.

Sorry I couldn't get these up last night, but someone broke into our backyard and we had cops over all night.Wednesday, July 26thSo after that terrible playoff performance, with the excepetion of a crucial steal in the final seconds of game 4, how will Smush Parker respond this season? The Lakers are definately pushing him hard, with the additions of Shammond Williams and rookie Jordan Farmar. There is a chance the New Yorker may not even make the roster. He is in his final year of his contract, and he's going to have to play at least a little bit better then his season averages if he's going to be back. In my personal opinion, I hope he's around for awhile. I think Kobe Bryant really likes running the floor with Parker. Smush has those highlight reel dunks, he can steal the ball anytime he wants, but he really has to work hard on his defence and shooting.

Thursday, July 27thShammond Williams, who was signed this off-season, how big of an impact will he have? Well, time will tell if it was a good, bad, or mediocore signing. Could we have a breakout superstar on our team? Maybe, but most likely not. Could we have a bust that wasn't worth a dime? Yes. Could we have a mediocore player, much like another Smush Parker. Yes, most likely. It will be interesting to see what he can do for the Lakers this season, that's for sure. But I do look forward to seeing what he can do.

Friday, July 28thThis can be a very suprisingly dangerous team if Lamar Odom can average the numbers he had in the playoffs. The Lakers are really set in the triangle with Kobe and Odom. They are questioned downlow and at the point, but Kobe is the main focus anyway, and that will open doors for Odom. If Kwame can shape up to be that number 1 overall talent, this offence is going to be pretty scary. Our defence needs to get better, but it was a huge improvement last year from what we did in 2004-05. The Lakers always seem to hang in tight with the tough teams, and if they have made enough acquistions this season, look for them to be even tougher.

Yeah Kobe always carries us... but we still won't go anywhere if we dont get solid play from the point and whoever plays the 5.

Saturday, July 29thThe Lakers don't seem to be in any hurry for a trade. It would be nice if Mitch can package someone an upgrade at a position. This is getting really iritatating to Lakers fans. We always could use an extra PF/C type, or Small Forward. We will see how longer it takes to acquire a new player.

Sunday, July 30thDrew Gooden was in one of the Lakers insiders latest article. Is it a possibility? Yes. Would it be an upgrade from Brian Cook? Yes. But could he learn the triangle fast? Who knows. We will see if Mitch can pull a trigger on something, instead of being a sitting duck.
