They're sucking like the Blazers, now all they need is the endless knee injuries.

How is the attendance (I ask that as someone who is 99% ignorant of MLS happenings)?

They don't seem to have a deep core of players that react and try to misdirect the ball when its coming towards them. From what I have seen the Timbers defense just reacts and follows the attacker without really getting aggressive.

Season is sold out. There doesn't seem to be a lot of no shows at this point.

Yeah, and prices are coming down considerably from re-sellers on the secondary market.

Screw the ticket deals, at this point. Do you really want to spend the money to see the team to lose Sporting Kansas City who has a 6-0 record (18 pts, GF 9 GA 1) this saturday? Timbers are 1-4-1 (4 pts, GF 8, GA 11).

The same thing could be said about when LA Galaxy came to town last week. We were all gonna get demolished... why even show up... yadda yadda yadda. One of the most magical Timbers evenings I have ever witnessed. Sunflower Goal still tops them all for me though.

in all seriousness though... I might be willing to go through one crappy season if it bores this new breed of "Popped Collar, Jersey Shore, Aggro n00b* who has shown up last 1/4 of last year to now, and is there to just tweet pictures of yourself in the TA because its cool now" and they stop going.

*If the noted description does not apply to you, then my cup of RAGE does not apply to you. I fully realize n00bs are good and if you are there to give the boys in Green your all, and are there for 90+ of Jumping, and Clapping, and Singing for Victory.. then you are cool by me.

I see Merritt pulling the plug on the coach if the losses keep piling up.

Merritt and his constant oversight not allowing management and coach to do their job as he haphazardly adds pieces to the roster . . . he is the biggest problem of all (hey this is kind of fun)

its a mixture of Merrit, Spencer, and Wilkinson. I honestly think Wilkinson is gone for someone with proven MLS pedigree, before Spencer IMO. Wilkinson has done decent but this team's biggest weaknesses Right Back and Center Mid need(s)(ed) to be addressed and it wasnt in the offseason. Horrible outside back play falls on Wilkinson and Center Mid play falls on Spencer (The need to play/loyalty to Jewsbury who has been as bad as Lovel Palmer)
