    That was his number with the Nets so I'm guessing that the roster listing is just based on that. When/if he ever plays for the Blazers, I'd be shocked if they let him keep that number.

    Who really cares? Brandon made a lot of us happy and proud of the team for a few years (including myself), but he never won shit. He doesn't deserve to have his number retired so a big whatev' from me.

    I second Baracuda. Who cares? I loved Brandon Roy, but I see no reason why his number can't be given to Shawne Williams or anybody else. Roy will always live in our hearts, but his jersey number is just a number.

    I agree to that statement. Roy set his own legacy amongst blazer fans with fond memories. Everyone will know who he was with his name and not necessary his number. We need to slow down on the numbers being retired!

    Sean Williams was signed by the Celtics today. It's amazing how Sean and Shawne have been in the league approximately the same years, with the same suspensions, and the same number of busts.

    Maybe writers get them mixed up and ascribe the same infractions to both.
