Having Matthews there makes no sense, but I am excited for Diebler. Assuming they are still here, Smith and Williams need every second they can get in summer league, and Matthews will just take time away from them

I think Matthews is a bit of a gym rat. He wants to stay in game shape so I like that he going to Vegas. This would be a good summer to check out the team actually.

Matthews wants to be at summer league, but in the end it's not his choice.

If the Blazer have two lottery picks, I'm guessing they'll want those two players to get the majority of the touches and looks, therefore they wouldn't let Wes play. Just my guess.

Yeah, but we are drafting a 4/5 and a PG, so Matthews can play with them. I know this because I saw it on ESPN draft simulator.

EW won't be in Vegas unfortunately.

Ah. Will it take that long for his shoulder to heal?

Matthews should be resting up. He's supposed to be all dinged up but insists on playing because he's going for some ironman streak.

I don't know why we need Vegas. We're watching our summer league team right now.

Who really cares about Matthews, he freaking sucks. The guy CAN NOT drive and his shot is as streaky as Travis Outlaw.

Unlikely, even if we do sign him. He'd feel like a forty-year-old forced to go back to college.

I just can't get excited about Diebler, no matter how hard I try. I must be racist.

Y'know who I want to see on our summer league team? Anthony Davis.

I bet he could drive a bit in summer league.

Matthews got his NBA break while playing in the summer league. He's an established NBA player, he has nothing to gain from summer league. Summer league should be for young guys, rookies and undrafted guys to get a shot.

You know Matthews has played rather well the last few games, now he just needs to learn how to do that when the games ACTUALLY MATTER...

Summer league isn't going to help with that...

I've regained a little confidence in Matthews over these last few games....this has just not been a good year for him.

He's a heavy guy and he wants the workouts. Just have him practice. During games he can be assistant coach.
