Vernon Maxwell played a key role on the 93-94 Rockets. He went 14/4/4 in the playoffs for them that year.

He was known as "Mad Max" because he was a head case. He was jailed in 2009 because he kept messing up his probation.

You could probably keep coming up with more and more names if you tried.... the point is, there are a TON of headcases in the league (and the world for that matter).

If we can get him on the cheap it's an interesting option. A lot will depend on the next coach -- he's got to have somebody get his ego in check.

    The #11 pick and?

Tyreke Evans stats have gone downhill since he entered the league because they had him playing PG and not caring what he did as long as he averaged that historic 20/5/5. There were a ton of questions about just what position he should actually play in the NBA and it looks like he is falling into the SG/SF role. He isn't an overally gifted athlete, plays below the rim instead of above it, not a good 3 point shooter and tends to dominate the ball. He is his best when he can slash to the rim at will and draw foul calls. He is a player who is going to demand big money but never be worth it because of his lack of consistency and his horrible defense/shot selection.

    That's putting it kindly -- he's a career 25% shooter from three.

Weren't people comparing him to Roy in his rookie season? What changed?

DeMarcus Cousins plays on that same team. He's not a headcase at all....

I would say sheed definitely counts. He was a head case for sure. Stupid and does stupid stuff detrimental to his career. Not putting in work to be the best. Sounds a lot like sheed.

I would have no problem adding Evans if it cost us something like Matthews, but I wouldn't trade a pick for him

Matthews alone wouldn't get it done, but maybe they can buy a pick in the late teens or early twenties and package that with Wesley and include it in a trade?

That would work for me as well. I realize Matthews alone wouldn't get it done, but in my feeble mind, that is what I would be comfortable giving up for a player with no real position

Adding Evans would be okay if we had a stabilizing vet, but LMA isn't that guy and I don't see someone like Joel keeping an ego in check.

I most definitely would. Evans is exactly the kind of SG slasher, scorer we need to fill the absence of B-Roy.

Not really ... I mean he'd certainly fill a void in the scorer/slasher department, but his talent and feel for the game is nowhere near what Roy was able to do when healthy, but this is not an ideal pairing between player and team.

I'd definitely trade the #11 pick for him, but the #6 pick straight up...maybe. That's about even. Factor in the risk of drafting a mistake, and factor in waiting 2-3 years for the pick to develop...maybe.

    Here is a hypothetical.

Assuming One of Lamb or Beal was on the board when we picked, and assuming Sullinger, Marshall or Rivers were on the board when we selected with our other pick, would any of you be upset if we traded our two picks for Tyreke Evans and Kyle Lowry?
