The presence of Hickson is what enables this thread. We have a good, maybe better, PF whose ascendance is blocked by the presence of Aldridge.

    You talkin' to ME??

After pensive consideration, I have decided to show mercy.

You may return and say that to me when you get to 30,000 posts.

surprisingly, I don't share your low assessment of LaMarcus as a cornerstone or view that teams really absolutely have to have a dominant #1 option to win. The Spurs and Pistons championship years spring to mind where multiple very good offensive weapons carried the day rather then a single lead option. The Blazers offense clearly needs more talented players that can take people off the dribble. They've some decent spot up shooters (Wes & Nic) but only Felton & Crawford to set them up. They're presumed gone leaving even more of a gaping void in the dominant ballhandler role. With their picks and cap space in play it will be interesting to see what Portland tries to do. I'm hoping they get someone who can really run the pick and roll with LA... remember how much better the offense ran when they had Miller? I'm open to the idea of trading LA or anyone, but I'd want a king's ransom for Aldridge... better then NOH 2 picks. He's a stud player on a very reasonable contract.

the only actual barefoot measurement we have of both KD and LA are from their respective official pre-drafts where a 19 year old Durant measured in at an inch shorter at 6'9. It was noted at the time that he didn't pad that measurement by giving the w/shoes measurement as most everyone else does in their official league listing. Kevin Love and Blake Griffin came in at 6'7.75 & 6'8.5 respectively at their official pre-drafts

Would you trade our two lotto picks for Harden (OKC might have to choose between paying him or Ibaka eventually)?

    I would.

And while I'm GM, I'll get DWill to sign here, too.

    Dwill
    Harden
    Batum
    Hickson
    LA

    Voila. We're back in it.

with resigning hickson batum and adding dwill we couldn't afford to keep harden after next year. in the situation we did that trade for harden id rather grab dragic then dwill

Dragic, Harden, Batum, Hickson & LA would seem formidable. Now if only ant the GM would step up and win the lotto. Anthony Davis joining that frontcourt, would fully get them back in the elite mix. Adding the best guard available with the NJ pick and encouraging Joel to lose 25lbs would be solid moves too... While were dreaming i'd put a trade out there. We sign Dwill in the off season then we call up Orlando and trade a S&T with both Batum/Hickson and the two guys we draft for an extended Howard. Bring over Claver and Freeland while were at it.
    Dwill/Smith
    Mathews/Elliot
    Babbit/Claver
    LA/Feeland
    Howard/Freeland.
Weak at SF but scary otherwise. About as likely to happen as us winning the lottery. I mean the actual lottery not the NBA lottery.

This makes so much sense. I really should have realized he was over compensating when talking about the volume of his posts.
