The scoreless innings streak by Washington starters ended at 26, the longest in Nationals history. The overall result, however, was another victory. Jordan Zimmermann pitched four scoreless innings to help set the record before Orlando Hudson homered for San Diego and the NL East-leading Nationals beat the Padres 7-2 on Wednesday in a matchup of the NL's best and worst teams.
