"Dre Kirkpatrick wasn't playing favorites a day before the draft. He'll be happy to go to whatever team takes him. If that team happens to be the Lions ... "It'll pretty much be perfect," Kirkpatrick said Wednesday. "You got (Ndamukong) Suh down there, you got Nick Fairley down there and those are the guys that a corner loves to play with because they're going to make that quarterback get that ball out of his hands faster. That'd be a dream come true." The Lions have a gaping hole at cornerback after losing Eric Wright in free agency, and Kirkpatrick would be an ideal fit with the 23rd pick of the first round. But most draft analysts don't expect Kirkpatrick to last that long. "I did about 10 mock drafts (Tuesday) night and I couldn't find a way to get a corner to the Lions," NFL Network analyst Mike Mayock said. "From my perspective, if they want a corner, they're going to have to either move up or take a guy with significant off-the-field issues.""
