"We have never been more excited,'' Moore said last night. "We couldn't be more excited. Allen is very excited to be part of the team, and is looking forward to training camp. "Allen wasn't as surprised as he was relieved. He always wanted to be in Philadelphia, but he felt he had deserved better as far as communication.'' Moore termed the meeting "long overdue.'' Iverson is loyal to the City of Philadelphia, and to the Franchise and it's fans. Loyalty is something that seems to be rare these days in the NBA, and it is good to see the The Answer is a happy camper staying in Philly.
As long as he secretly isn't pissed off(i'd imagine he would be), he'll remain as one of my top 10 fav players

I mean, look at all those years under Brown when they were feuding. You're right though, there are a lot of differences between that '01 team and this one... BIG differences. But Iverson was nearly dealt TWICE in the past six months... once to Denver at the trade deadline (to Denver for Andre Miller, Earl Watson and Kenyon Martin) and once recently to Boston.

I would like to see him play with Melo if he is traded any were that be a team I would not mind him going to. But if we would have traded Iverson for that it be some bs. lolI think Sixers can be like as high as a 5th seat in the Easteren Conference, but still nothing better.
I'm happy hes gonna stay, it would just be kind of strange having him on another team. I truthfully hopes he retires a sixers, hes just done sooo much for this franchise. Hopefully we'll at least make the playoffs this year...i guess....
I think he's still being shopped around, only more carefully now (and in secret). It's no longer a desperation situation since nobody made an offer than Philly management was happy with. They keep him and field offers till the trade deadline, and if a really good deal comes along they trade him. However, the deal would have to be some kind of ultra crack smoking deal like the Pistons trading Tay Prince, Hamilton and a 1st round draft pick for him. So, he is not likely to be traded this year but I wouldn't say 100% it WON'T happen.
