Better to visit Stoke during the spring than the winter, I reckon, though their pitch may be a muddy cow pasture. Stoke are playing for nothing, as they say, mired in the middle of the table with no threat of relegation or promise of Europe. They love to play hard against us and knock our players around so we need to go to Britannia and stick it to them early, dashing their chances at a win and riding the game out. There are nine points left to play for and we need all of them plus some goals to ensure a third place finish ahead of Newcastle.
Yeesh. If we finish 3rd it will be by the skin of our teeth. Not making it easy for ourselves. Can't really explain Stoke booing and jeering Aaron Ramsey. I mean what--he had the audacity to break his leg over that goon's shin, is that it? Or did he not apologize afterwards and tell everyone that Shawcross isn't a blimey **** after all but just not that kind of player? I dunno. Stoke City can fall into a sinkhole. Enjoy finishing 13th you twats.
Newcastle & Scum will both be a point behind us if they win their catch-up games mid-week. Anything less than a full six points from our (easy?) remaining games is problematic. Must run the table and finish strong. We're due for a good game or two at this point...
