Cheer up, Tom! We had a catastrophically bad half. We can still win the series. Boozer, Deng, and Rip can't play like pussycats though.
Well, that was ugly. Bulls can still win the series. But, given the energy level that I saw defensively the entire game (not just in the 2nd half), it seems like the team might be suffering from a case of "what's the point?" It must be hard for your motivation as a player being winning a title shift at the start of the playoffs to just doing well. And despite what they say, they know they can't win the title without Derrick. As just a fan, I know my energy level is way down. I'll still watch the games, but I don't expect much anymore. I guess it would be nice to make the ECF and maybe pull off a miracle. Just hard to get PUMPED right now. Hopefully Friday will right the ship.
Blame Thibs. It's his job to motivate the players and have a winning game plan ready. Even down 20, a comeback is possible. Seriously, when is the last time the Bulls didn't at least play hard and defend for 48 minutes? This is a very good Philly team, but we should beat them without Rose in a 7 game series. The series really shouldn't go the full 7 games even. As far as ECF, you never really know - that's why the games are played. So go play em and play to win.
