i agree it was horrible move, but AJ isn't young. He's actually pretty dang old if i remember correctly.
They didn't need him. He was their 3rd string pg. They got 2 talented young guys in Josh Powell and Rawle Marshall as well. And Darrell Armstrong provides defense and leadership on the court and in the lockerroom.I don't see it as a bad trade at all..
Yeah, plus they free up cap room in the process. Perhaps not the best acquisition, but not the worst. Look at it in the grand scheme of things: AJ and Croshere for DA, Rawle, Powell, and Marquis. Pretty even right there in my opinion.
I don't like the JR Smith acquisition as much as most people do. Denver needed a shooter, JR is a slasher, so Denver may have to rely on Keith Van Horn for shooting.Where's Voshon Lenard now?

They were only thrown in to make the trade work. Also, Armstrong will provide the leadership off the court, but on the court he's done. He was there for us a couple games last year but his days of being able to change the game are ending. Their pg rotation is far worse and I expect Pacers to not be done after this move. The only good thing about it is they made room in their cap for Harrington, but he has yet to come. <div class='quotetop'>QUOTE </div><div class='quotemain'>i agree it was horrible move, but AJ isn't young. He wil piss Karl off and will be traded mid season</div>That wont happen. They need a SG and he has alot of potential. He is still very young and he fits in with this team perfectly. If anybody can tame this guy, it is George Karl IMO. I just dont view this as a bad deal considering he was traded for Tyson who the Bulls wanted to get rid of....and then he was later traded from the bulls for a filler. It isnt that bad at all....

And no one expected JR to even stick with the Bulls afterwards, there were even contemplating waiving him. It doesn't say much when your traded for Howard Eisley. It means your stock has fallen.
K maybe me saying the JR Smith move was the worst isnt really it. Probably the most overrated(especially on this board) move of the summer
I have to say the Pacers getting Al Harrington for nothing was a great move. I cant believe the Hawks let him go for cash, a future draft pick and a trade exception. He is worth much more than that.
Not really Balla, Hawks add zero contracts with the Harrington deal, helping them stay under the cap and can add better pieces next year, which is a better free agent market. No need to trade Harrington and bring in other pieces long term.

I think the Speedy Claxton signing by Atlanta is underrated. Speedy did a great job as the backup for New Orleans, and I think he could have a breakout year in Atlanta. They needed a pg, and they got one. Great signing.
