No argument from me. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Political_life_of_Clint_Eastwood He usually describes himself as a libertarian in interviews.[4] He told USA Weekend in 2004, "I don't see myself as conservative, but I'm not ultra-leftist. ... I like the libertarian view, which is to leave everyone alone. Even as a kid, I was annoyed by people who wanted to tell everyone how to live."[5] When asked his opinion of the 2012 Republican presidential candidates in February 2012, Eastwood replied that Texas Congressman Ron Paul was "'as good as anybody else' in the race but that he will decide on a candidate in another month or two after 'listening to all that crap on television.'"[12]
lol. No he especially looked like shit tonight. Looked like he was dying. Must be all that alcohol he consumes.
I wonder if Facebook attention whore types were thanking Dick Cheney 3 years ago for his support on facebook to show how tolerant they are to the rest of their FB friends, which is the same position of Obama's. http://voices.washingtonpost.com/44/2009/06/01/cheney_comes_out_for_gay_marri.html "Proud of you, Mr. Vice President!" :MARIS61:
It all makes sense now. There is a $40k/plate dinner tonight a George Clooney's house with Obama as the guest of honor, and tickets weren't going very fast as of last weekend. Hence the phony 'pivot' on gay marriage, and guess what? 40 more Hollywood elites have signed up for the dinner in the past 3 days, with most in the last 24 hours. Norman Lear cut a check for $80k, and he's not even going to go, but he'll donate his "plates".
I'll be caught in Obamajam XII tonight and tomorrow. http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/politic...izes-to-obama-for-same-sex-marriage-comments/
I agree with Obama: All's well that ends well. If only the Republicans had a decent candidate to push Obama out of the office. Then everything would be well, because it would end well, with Obama out of office.
Well if this is strickly a political move, and no other president has ever done this . . . it seems to be more a reflection of the change in society's view on the topic.
just following Dick Cheney's groundbreaking and historic stance on the issue, a few years late to the party I suppose.
I guess I don't see how saying he agrees with it (which I do as well), yet it's up to the states to decide their own laws on gay marriage, is that big of a deal. If Obama came out and said that he agrees with abortion, but that it should be up to the states to decide their laws on it, well, that would be news, IMO. That would be worthy of front page news.
