You had to reference that from your palm pilot didn't you? On topic, when did message boards on the internet become such a serious place where people could get so bent out of shape? There's a lot more important things out there that should cause outrage, and the internet isn't one of them. Believe it or not, the Trailblazers aren't worth that kind of outrage either.
Damn, this makes me want to become a mod again. Whaddya think, PapaG, shall I ask Denny to be reinstated? barfo
what kind of loser would google someones username to try and find out personal information about someone? and then post in in the forum? you should be ashamed of yourself hypocritical drama feaster
So insane that people get so worked up and have fights over a message board about a sports team. Were here to talk about the Blazers not stroke our epeens.
its more like a swedish daisy chain epeen circle jerk indian style dutch rudder with a bimini twist, you get your own balls and the guy to your right cross legged facing away from the circle
and ive decided that circle jerks arent entirely accurately named, for instance, if there are 8 of you, it should be referred to as an "octagon jerk" and so on
I know I'm coming into this thread vary late, but Nate's a mod now?????????? Well, there goes the property values! [jez kiddin, Nate] BTW, why not make PapaG a mod? After his banning, that is.
For the record, Nate was elected moderator and stepped down for a while. With BrianFromWA being on overseas duty, we were down to one mod for the forum. Nate said he'd like to be mod again, so he's mod again. I'm a poster like the rest of you. From time to time a discussion gets a little heated and I may post something along the lines of an insult, but I honestly can say there's not a single person who posts here, including PapaG, that I dislike or want to see leave or anything like that. The site rules are incredibly lax for good reason. When a group of people, like us, post on a mostly anonymous forum like this (we know each other by username and avatar), it's easy to forget there's a real person behind that anonymity. There's also a lot of familiarity with the other posters when we all post together over years' time. People can have a bad day, like PapaG seems to have had yesterday, and this site isn't about punishing people (in general) for having that bad day or making a few regrettable posts along with many hundreds/thousands of downright good ones. Some of us have known one another for many years, and things that are posted are inside jokes or good natured jokes that might seem like personal attacks. I don't see the point in ruining peoples' fun by trying to assess the nature of such posts. We do deal, from time to time, with complaints about posts, and that is, IMO, how to tell if a post is over the top. As far as I'm concerned, the site is what we all make of it as a community. It's not the Denny Crane show, but the SportsTwo posters' show. People don't rave about S2 because of me or any one poster, they rave about it (and they do!) because of the combination of every poster's posts and the subjects we all bring for discussion. I may be the most visible of the site staff, being admin and a poster with 25K+ posts. If I take the brunt of posters' anger from time to time, I'll live with it and not take it personally. I simply want the same thing you do from this site - a place to post my opinions and interact with a bunch of swell people who rip my opinions to shreds. Or basically to have fun, and to write - and I do like to write (and read what you all have to write). A staff position here is an unpaid position and entails work beyond posting. I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to have the help of the people who step up and help the site by taking on the extra responsibility. In that light, barfo has agreed to resume being a moderator, and I thank him as well for the help.
Oh God, please no. Denny, now you HAVE to make PapaG a mod to balance things out. BTW, your full post brought a tear to my eye.
