There was some talk that Tony Adams might take the 2nd-in-charge role in the absence of longtime assistant Pat Rice, with Adams' final intent to succeed Arsene Wenger, but the club have tapped Steve Bould for the position instead (perhaps for that reason). Rice has been with the club for 48-years both as a player and former captain and caretaker and assistant manager. Likewise, Bould played for the club from 1988-99. Bould has been in our coaching system since 2001, managing our youth teams.
