    The Melendez/Thompson rubber match nobody really wanted is up next. Expecting a good performance from Melendez and possible mobility problems for Thompson.

    DC showed good striking and wrestling, did good damage to Barnett and kept up a good pace, but will be criticized for coasting in the second half of the fight.

    Strikeforce hasn't released live gate figures for the event but based on the way it looked on television things are bad. When they can't draw in San Jose they are in trouble.

    If you're not friends or family or a contest winner or I dunno, staying at a casino nearby, or affiliated with one of the sponsors of the show, or with the State, or the facility, or a Sharks season ticket holder, I guess you could show up around the time it starts and they want to fill up the arena and see if you can get in. I know PRIDE used to do that.
