Oh yeah. With Patton Oswalt? Hilarious at times, and depressing at times. Kind of reminds me of a message board flame war. The part where he follows his hero to the club and gets his ass beat was just surreal.

I was so happy when 750am brought back Rome. I admit it, I'm a Clone from way back.

I was pleasantly surprised by Big Fan. Taxi Driver meets The Fan. Good stuff.

Nothin' wrong with Rome. He has moments of improv brilliance as far as I'm concerned.

I used to like his show, but now he panders a lot. He's slowly becoming a Larry King. Oh yeah, there's also the 40 minutes of commercials every hour.

Rome always has the best interviews. He gets the important people on the show at the right time. That's what happens when you're "the man".

But his show isn't what it once was. He was a lot more aggressive, edgy, etc. back in the day. He's much more corporate these days and has tons of commericals (and when he's not doing commericals, he's promoting all sorts of brands). Don't get me wrong - I get it - that's what happens when you are the King of Sportsradio - it just doesn't suit my listening preference the way it once did).

I want to "bang" Rome's monkey and ask him to bring his old show back. That being said, when a star athlese does something amazing and I have an interest in hearing more about it, I turn to Rome, because no doubt, that athlete is doing a great interview the next day.

I remember when they advertize the cologne "Bang."

I've been listening to Rome since before the whole Jim "Chris" Everret scene (was that set up?). I agree with your analysis of the show over time. I miss the edgy side of his show.
