Sullinger slipping to 13? Not going to happen. If we have the Nets' picks and Beal isn't there, I'd go with Sullinger (could be the next Horford IMHO) and then snag Lamb at 11.
Noob question - could Bradley Beal be the next Dwayne Wade, Igoudala, or Eric Gordon? Some of the highlight video looks really good, and he would need to bulk up more. Wade seemed to be all around better coming out of college as was Gordon, but Beal seems to be more polished than Igoudala coming into the NBA. If we can get him could Beal be our answer at the SG position? PS - if this has already been addressed on one of the previous 41 pages on this thread, I apologize - I haven't been keeping up with this thread in its entirety.
FYI, if anyone was wondering, the draft combine is scheduled for June 6-8, and the official list of participants has just been released.
Come on, rookie. You gotta earn your stripes. Not ready every last post in this 41-page thread is really making me question your desire to be a part of this board.
Anxious to see measurements. None of the guys we will target, if we decide to target, will play, so.......
I am assuming his height, lack of elite athleticism, and inability to shoot in college like he did in high school
I think he's too small and doesn't possess the skills to make up for it. He's the same height as Eric Gordon (6'4" in shoes), has a shorter wingspan, weighs less, is less athletic, and can't shoot from deep. Shooting guards undoubtedly have to guard (and be guarded by) small forwards or big shooting guards from time to time, something I think he can't do with consistency due to his lack of size and elite athleticism.
Hard to tell with Beal. He had great rebound numbers, but most admit his scoring wasn't as good as people thought it would be. I think it will be moot, but if he slips down . . . It's hard to see why he would be so far ahead of Lillard. It looks like it is all on potential, after a so-so freshman year.
He hung 20 points, 8 boards and 5 assists on Kentucky in the tournament. That's legit. He'll be just fine in NBA where the rules/refs seem to favor guards these days.
McCants was the beneficiary of paying with a much more talented college team (May, Felton, Noel). Beal is doing his damage on a much worse squad.
