Great news, IMO. A chance to get our system(whenever that happens) established with minor league guys, so that they play the same down there that we want them to here. I know many people have wanted this to happen for a while.
Good for them ... maybe they can move Canales down there for a few years and let him cut his teeth as a head-coach?
That's good news. With likely two lotto picks and guys like Williams and Smith needing practice minutes, it'd be nice to send them over here to Boise and have them play however many minutes Blazer management wants. Hopefully our Blazers roster will be so loaded there won't be minutes for guys like Smith and Babbitt. lol
Not that I care about the Jazz, but isn't that where their player' went as well? I assume they now will go elsewhere? So does this mean no teams can send their players down to Boise. Just the players the stampede draft and the players we send down? I have no idea how this works. Nor did I care before.........
I remember that the Blazers were supposed to move their affiliation from the Stampede to the Sioux Falls Skyforce a few years back. At least that was the plan.
Last year we shared the Stampede with the Jazz and Nuggets. Now the Trail Blazers control 100% of the roster and coaches.
Don't you guys get it? Paul is going to get the Blazers out of Portland by assigning all the players to the Stampede! He'll finally get that championship, in Boise! Meanwhile we'll have to watch D-leaguers get beat every night! It'll be virtually indistinguishable from last season! barfo
