Jesus, with D-Will and Howard our Brooklyn Nyets pick next year will be crap (if we don't get it this year).

I don't think #2 or #3 would do it, unless Orlando is high on Drummond. Orlando could do better with the L@kers or get some other young proven talent. NJ needs the first pick.

Try this low-tech lottery simulator: If you toss a balanced coin twice there is a 25% chance it comes up heads (or tails) both times. Happens all the time. Very possible. Same chance that the Nyets get in the top 3. I'm not going to hold my breath we get that pick.

I'm praying the Blazers name is not called at or before No. 11. Unless I'm mistaken, that would mean we vault into the top 3 ourselves, right?

Yes, and dramatically increasing our chance of getting New Jersey's pick as well.

Well technically that is a 50% chance. There are 4 outcomes (HH, HT, TH, TT). HH or TT happen 50% of the time. You would actually have to announce HH or TT before you start flipping your coin to have a 25% chance. You were probably saying this, but the way you typed it out it made it look like it was more likely than it actually is.

I don't see any way that NJ gets Howard, so they can kiss Deron goodbye.

To where? Dallas will have to gut their roster for the cap room to sign him, bye bye Jason Terry/Kidd/Haywood. Does he really want to be paired with only an aging Dirk and not much else? Is he going to consider going back to Utah or coming to Portland? I doubt either of those seriously interest him.

There are a lot of concerns with Brooklyn, but this isn't a summer when the Miami, Chicago, LA, New York teams have cap space. I think he sticks with the Nets just because there isn't any better options.

Anyone want to post a factually summary no more than two paragraphs about what Insider says are good fits for Deron as an FA?

Okay, found it posted on a Pacers board.

    5-star fit: NYets
4-star fit: Dallas (potentially with Howard)
    3-star fit(s): Jazz, Suns, 76ers, Blazers.

Funny, they posted the full article over there.
