I just took a dump and it cleared my mind...... here is what's going to happen. We win the lottery and the #1 pick Dwight Howard decides he wants to sign with us, so we don't need to draft Anthony Davis We trade the #1 pick to the Cavs for the #3 pick and Kyrie Irving We draft MKG from Kentucky with the #3 and Lamb with #11 Opening night 2012 Irving/Flynn Wes/Lamb/Elliot MKG/Nic/Luke LA/Hickson/Kurt D12/Joel Sorry but it was the best dump I'd ever had!
Sorry, I had a KingSpeed moment. We'll get #6 and #11 and draft Barnes and Marshall. Win 44 games next season and just miss the playoffs.
wouldn't do much other than we have less trade-able assets. like I said, anything out of the top 5 picks in a draft is historically a non-impact player.
Generally true, but Clyde, Terry and Sabas might argue that one. Not to mention two of the starting point guards who are still in the playoffs. I think scouting has improved though and it's harder to find diamonds like that.
If we only have #11, I'd look to save salary caproom for next summer. That would likely mean this team is going to deep in lotto again next year.
When you look at how many of these guys exist versus the guys who don't amount to shit.....over the years, its held pretty much true.
Really only if you dump Batum. I'm not sure it is worth that. If you wanted to take that route, I think it would make more sense to trade Aldridge for more draft picks or young talent, then tank and get more picks.
I couldn't be more pleased - I truly envisioned this jinx continuing and finding us with the 12th pick and Nets getting the #3. Perhaps bad luck is behind us and we can move forward.
+1. We didn't drop. But we didn't move up either. Considering the Blazers' luck and my day, overall, I consider it a win.
