Rondo might have been had at the beginning of the season, but he's playing too good. The Celtics are about to lose Garnett, Allen, and Pierce is a million years old. Rondo is the future of that team.
You wouldn't trade the picks for Rondo but you would trade them to move up and get Beal or Kidd-Gilchrist? That makes no sense
Iggy, Granger, etc. That would be a fucking disaster. Two lotto picks in a deep draft and a huge chunk of cap space in this new CBA era...
Yeah, honestly I'd rather roll the dice on a couple of young guys and try to sign Dragic. If we were able to retain Batum, bring in Drummond and Lamb, and then sign Dragic, Hickson, and Freeland, I would consider that a VERY good offseason. Dragic/Smith Lamb/Matthews Batum/Babbitt Aldridge/Hickson Drummond/Freeland
Oh I just saw the Rondo post before yours and thought that's what you were responding to. I agree that trading the picks for Iggy or Granger would be a mistake.
Yeah especially regarding the fact that Robinson will probably be a better rebounder than Aldridge. It would remind me of the Celtics starting front court size wise, except LA > KG and Robinson >>> Bass
It'll be interesting to see how Robinson measures out. If he's around 6'10" with a 9'1"-ish reach I think LMA/Robinson could work.
The more I read nbadraft.net, the more I'm convinced they don't know shit. They have Harrison Barnes going #2 to Charlotte. No way.
