He didn't explode until his junior year because he was behind the Morris twins.

I'd like to explode behind the Olsen twins!

That being said.... Not totally sold on Robinson. I think he'll be in the NBA for a solid while, but something about him makes me think he'll be more adequate or average than star.

Here's something to bear in mind: if we keep both our picks then I would say it increases exponentially the likelihood that Caleb Kanales stays coach. If we're going to go young then we're rebuilding, and he's the coach.

I think that is the most realistic, but also very best scenario. I just can't see all of those pieces coming together though.

Yeah, I just don't know about Drummond's motor. I think he might be soft.

Rondo has been the present of that team for a while.

The only way Rondo gets traded is if he runs over Danny Ainge's dog. On purpose. Several times. And even then the owner should nix the trade.

He has hit another level though. His game last night was crazy. I never would have pegged Rondo for someone who could score 40+ in a game.

I dug a couple of links to #6 and #11 picks for the last decades:

    No. 6

    No. 11

So at #6 the Blazers could get Larry Bird ... or Bryant Reeves
At #11 Reggie Miller ... or we could get Bonzi Wells back.

Motor is one of the first things we should be looking at, IMO

Blazersedge.com had that listed as well, but not as far back (kudos to you!) But they did point out that teams are getting better and finding those diamonds earlier, and less fall through the cracks.

    @AmirIcon......

We cannot use Hickson in any trades. He is a RFA and we "might" be granted Bird Rights to match contract offers after a hearing/decision scheduled for June 15. We also might not be able to match, and therefore would have to sign him with available cap space or up to the QO amount. Regardless, he can't be used by us in trade, as we don't have him (yet) under contract.

    Just helpful FYI

Doesn't that apply to Batum as well? (except for the bird rights thing)

Bird was drafted as a 'junior-eligible' player, which is no longer possible.

Also, the last time the Blazers had the #6 pick ... Martell Webster. :sigh:

Yes, but they also got the #6 player the next year (trading their #7 pick), and that was Brandon Roy. So...
