This OLive poster had an awesome post.

"One is going to win scoring titles, one is going to win championships."

I thought he was talking about two different people though. Should have asked for clarification. -RisewithDE

God.....Blazer fans get the shaft....once again. Why does this kind of thing always happen to us?

KP was stuck in the old thinking that you need Shaq or Duncan to build a dynasty. Their imaginations got the best of them and thy discounted the workouts and medical red flags. I blame KP for setting this franchise back a decade if not more.

Knowing they knew it was a risk with his injuries makes it bad, but Oden healthy was a beast

Can't wait for this topic to stop coming up........ 29 GMs including Seattle's said they would have taken Greg first. It's gotta' be a curse. We'll see if it continues in 23 days right?

Let's not forget there was a month of writers saying this could be passing on Jordan 2.0 if the Blazers took Oden. While 29 GMs would have taken Oden, then general consensus of fans/writers wasn't so insanely lopsided. Plus those folks didn't have access to medical records and workouts (which Durant reportedly dominated). The buck stops with KP on that one.

Durant is winning a championship because the Thunder are the best built team in the NBA, both through the draft and vets aquired, not because he's Michael Jordan. There's little chance we would have been that good even if we had drafted him.

not only would 29 other gm's have taken oden but he fit perfectly into what portland was building. we already had a ball dominating guard and a pf that liked to play outside and was an ok defender. you stack that with a dominant defending big man, that while not great on offense, could still score with his back to the basket. sounds pretty enticing to me, just sucks we never got to see it all together.

So, can OKC beat Miami in 7 games? Literally all I care about now in the world of basketball is the west putting a team on the court that can beat Miami in 7.

Go Heat! Durrant winning a title makes the Greg situation even worse. I didn't think it was possible, but you know all we'll hear for days and days is how Portland fucked up that pick.

I've even semi-rooted for (well, that may be strong) Garnett hoping BOS knocks them off first.

no changing that now. But I'd rather have what seems to be a good guy/superstar in Durant winning a title, than Lebron.

I dont give a damn about the pick etc. Its done and over, cant change history. Got to say it, I like Durrants poise, I love the way OKC is playing. I cant take Miami winning at any cost. So, go Thunder!

Right there with you. I hope James' pompous ass never wins jack in his career, and he goes down in hoops history as a great player that couldn't step up when the pressure is on.

    Go Blazers

No doubt. "Healthy" Oden was a beast and was perfect for that team.

Nothwithstanding their douchebag owner, I've got nothing against the Thunder and I certainly have no animosity for Durant (now that they've implemented the "Durant" rule on all those bull shit free throws he was drawing). I want the Heat to NEVER win. Go Thunder.
