lol, hey I would prefer that...I didn't say he was my 1st choice, I said I would not rule him out.....Batum doesn't seem to have that mentality but he is still a talented player....and being aloof, that was the word I was looking for in that post off the court doesn't necessarily mean that he is that way on the court...it doesn't help though...

You look at Lamb and cmpare it to Perry Jones who also has some similar "motor" issues and he came out and was aggressive from the start and said a lot of the things you want to hear....

That is why I just posted I would be very happy with a Robinson\Rivers draft....and if Robinson wasn't there, I would consider Perry Jones...based more on upside though...

As scary that sounds, we all clamored for the Blazers to draft a guy with no ACLs.

Sullinger will start out strong in the NBA. We're all going to be mad we didn't take him. Then, he'll fade into obscurity and become an average forward.

I knew I should have prefaced that post by sayin in off court attitude\aloofness...NOT in terms of on court IQ, I think Lamb is a much smarter player than Outlaw was\is....Outlaw still can't remember what\where he is supposed to be on the court...I think Lamb does....He just may not know the names of the guys on his team...lol

Gotcha. I'd definitely agree with you there. I'm also grateful our choices aren't Lamb v. Outlaw but Lamb v. a bunch of other players.

OK. But it's EXTREMELY unlikely without us trading up (in which case, I'd expect we have to deal #11, meaning we then won't be drafting Rivers).

I think Lamb has talent for sure and knows how to play, but I don't think I've ever seen a guy like that as the proverbial "tip of the spear" on a winning team ... I mean can you envision him taking any kind of active leadership role on a team?
