It would be suicide for him, politically. Most rational people are beginning to understand the printing money, and then giving it to public unions, errrrrrr, using it to create jobs, does nothing of value for the long-term future of this country.

There are the 25%, like the hardcore Obummers on this board, who think short-term and can't look past their hero-worship of him, but the reality is that things are going to have to get worse before our own economic house is in order.

The 25% on this website is meaningless compared to the people that voted him in. Even more meaningless than the people that are going to vote him in again.

It doesn't really bother me that OT board on a Blazer site is a place for neo-con's to congregate. I know the rest of the US doesn't feel the same way.

I guess his Wall Street buddies need the pump primed, and some of that money would probably make its way back to Obama this summer as a thank you.

Yes, yes it is. We have this thing called the internet these days, we don't have to wait 6 months for our news to be delivered by sailing ship around the Horn. Is that really the most recent layoff notice you could find? If so either the economy really is doing great, or your research skills are sadly lacking. As an anecdotal illustration of whatever point you thought you were making, it's completely worthless.

The poster I was addressing works for UPS. Thanks for adding in with your usual ignorant bullshit, though. Well done.

So now he admits that the economy he has led, and the economy he ran on in 2008 to improve, is still not doing fine after 3.5 of his "leadership".

Dude is flailing at this point.

Always stay positive in politics unless you're attacking the opponent. Being out of touch for saying the private sector is fine is a better alternative than saying that the economy you ran on fixing still stinks after 3+ years.

    Haha!

He's more funny at a press conference, and the aftermath, than he is on Letterman or Leno!

I thought for sure it was a meme mocking him. Maybe Yahoo's Friday pm editors have a sense of humor!

Ummm no. You don't have any understanding about the dynamics of UPS.

    Try again.

    You're totally right...

UPS operated before the huge technological advancements of the last 20 years, so there is no need to take advantage of optimizations that couldn't have been done decades ago. No need to work on hedging against fuel costs. No need to figure out optimal delivery routes and schedules. No need to determine the optimal pricing structures. I'm sure their competitors wouldn't make those advancements.

The success of UPS entirely hinges on the incredibly sophisticated job of workers driving trucks and carrying boxes.

Chris Christie eviscerates Obama, although I think Christie gives Obama too much credit for actually having any play at all to truly stimulate the economy.
