Terrence Ross is another guy that's really been growing on me

With his athleticism and shooting ability, the Jason Richardson comparison I read isn't a bad one.

Just curious, do you guys watch much college basketball or do you base most of your decisions off of draft measurements and "experts" picks?

I watch a ton of college basketball.

Which is why I really want one of the following players: Robinson, MKG, Beal.

I try to only make actual judgements on players I've seen play. Can't watch as much college bball as I used to though.

I do find myself questioning whether the long break between the end of college hoops season and the draft sways my opinion on guys. You see a guy and you have him pegged and then over a few months of reading this and that, watching clips, etc. you start thinking of them differently and wonder whether you were wrong at first or if you're buying into other people's opinions.

Some "experts" always fall in love with certain prospects, totally buying into the hype.

Chad Ford is notorious for this. He was on that Darko over LeBron bandwagon and was head over heels for Pavel Podkolzine.

Yeah sometimes the media buys its own hype even when the consensus doesn't. I remember when Marvin Williams was coming out the media was saying "HES SO FUGGING GREAT ISNT HE!!!!!" and I literally can't remember any fans who understood where this fascination had come from.

And don't get me started on the guys who are college analysts who are asked to give insight into the NBA draft. The saddest thing is they must know that they're lying to us all and lying to themselves when pimping these good college players that clearly have no future in the league. Its pathetic to watch.

Ford is quite bad at remaining unbiased with some players.

Another player to keep an eye on and someone I have really started to fall in love with is Arnett Moultrie. He's been rising on boards since the end of the season and his good measurements at the combine. He'll end up around 12-15 and I think could be a great addition depending on what we do with our picks. SEC's leading rebounder last season and could potentially be paired as a C next to LA.

It cracks me up that one good day and good jumping ability at a combine can tell you more then watching them play actual basketball for a whole season?

After reading about the uncertainty in Boston following their heartbreaking end to the ECF, I'm thinking a perfect draft scenario is get Lillard and whatever frontcourt prospect is available (i.e. PJIII), then go hard after Steve Nash and Ray Allen in free agency and hope to hell that our medical staff can keep them healthy.

Lillard's big question mark is how well he can run a team, and who better to learn from than Nash? At this point in Nash's career, they would probably split the minutes 50/50, so plenty of time for Lillard to develop. And for Nash to be at his most effective, you want a shooter like Allen to help spread the floor.

With Nash as a two year (at most) rental I'd still opt to trade up for Robinson.

No better PG to have to jumpstart a career.

If Lillard lives up to the current buzz, you want him full-time within 2-3 years, anyway.

    RealGM......... Another Promise?

Austin Rivers has reportedly received a promise from a team picking in the late lottery, according to a Yahoo! Sports report.

Rivers did not fully participate in the NBA pre-draft combine last week.

He is scheduled to workout for Portland, Toronto, Houston, Cleveland, Phoenix, Washington and New Orleans.

The Suns own the 13th overall pick and have been open about their desire to add a perimeter scorer.

Hard to believe we'd pass on Beal and Sullinger. Terrence Ross?

They also have Portland picking two wing players at #40 and #41 - Darius Miller and Hollis Thompson. For a team in need of some bigs, that's a lot of mediums and smalls.

Kendall Marshall may go up against fellow PG Damian Lillard next week in either New Orleans and/or Portland, source told CBSSports.

That is so meaningless. Lillard will toast him in a head to head workout. That is not Marshall's strength. But, if Marshall does hold his own it would really help him.

If they played 5v5 Marshall's strengths would shine.

Lillard's ability to score 1 on 5 would as well!
