This was probably thrown out there by Cleveland to give teams like Portland ideas. They would probably do this. Not sure why Portland would think about doing this. The difference between the player at 11 and 24 is and can be pretty significant. I might do this for the 2nd pick and the 24. But not the 4th.

twice as many? Are you using robinson's college career? Or comparing last seasons? Last season, Robinson was at 22, adjusted per 40, Blake I believe 27. With more touches. not double the scoring. Hard to compare career when Robinson played alongside the morris brothers his first 2 years.

Look, I like Robinson and think he's going to be a very good PF, but let's not forget that 15 months ago he wasn't able to take playing time from the Morris twins. This isn't Blake Griffin.

EDIT: RR7 got in first while I was checking stats.

Robinson could even be a more complete player as a rookie than Griffin IMHO. He's got a better post game and more polished outside jumper. Blake is a better dunker, but TRob's vertical is no joke either.

Someone had mentioned a Matthews & #11 to CHA for Thomas and #2....

    Matthews makes 6.5 - 6.9 - 7.2
    Thomas makes 8.0 - 8.7 - 9.4

and POR still would have #6, I would do a deal like that....Take Robinson @ #2 or whomever they are really high on (Beal\MKG\Drummond). I'd have to play out the scenarios of what WAS\CLE\SAC wuld do depending on who (Beal\T-Rob\MKG\Drummond) you took, b\c there is a good chance that one of those guys (or Barnes) could drop to you at #6.

Getting 2 of T-Rob\Beal\MKG\Barnes or Drummond, I think would be a heck of a haul and worth the cost of absorbing the extra $1-2mil\year of Thomas....

The Morris twins were drafted 13th and 14th in the NBA Draft. Not exactly scrubs. When TRob got his chance his chance he didn't disappoint. He was the last unanimous-voted All-American forward since Blake Griffin as well.

CHA desperately needs quality talent. Doubt they'd do this.

If they pull that off, Jordan is a smuck! But I would be very very pleased!

Markieff went 7/4 with a 12 PER for PHX, Marcus went 2/1 with a 3.8 PER for HOU and spent half the year in the D-League. Those are semi-scrubbish numbers, and NOT Blake Griffin-esque.

Okay, I messed up the scoring. But, Robinson was Junior, Griffin a Soph. And Griffin lead in every catagory (all scaled and pace adjusted)

    Pts: 27 v 22
    Reb: 17 v 15
    FG%: 65 v 50
    FTA: 11 v 7.6

Don't get me wrong in that I'm not against Robinson. I'm uncertain about his ceiling, but he could be a very solid pick here. He isn't Griffin, but that's not all bad. I'm guessing he will be a better teammate, a better defender, and could be a better championship piece.
