So what they should do is take the $forty some million dollars per day windfall the gas companies received and force them to lower prices to the national average and then further until they lose the $forty some million per day for the same time period we were gouged.
But... but... small government... free market.... no regulations.... OMG DENNY'S HEAD IS GOING TO EXPLODE
There's no reason to worry about this. The free market will take care of it. If consumers feel gouged buying gas in Oregon, they can just drive to Arkansas to fill up. And if they don't know they are being gouged, then there's really no problem at all. Talk to the invisible hand! barfo
It's a monopolistic form of treason and all oil execs should spend the rest of their lives in prison for it. All energy companies should be nationalized, as healthcare should be. Suddenly we'd find no reason to wage wars, and our economy would be the healthiest in the world.
Communism light. What about real estate? There was a lot of collusion to drive up prices in the early 2000's. Why aren't they in prison as well and the government handling property sales?
