By whom? The federal government just spent 3 years trying to get Armstrong on something, and came up empty.

    Apparently now it's the USADA?

So nothing came from the grand jury, but he gets banned anyhow.

Hilarious, and the USADA is apparently accusing him of doping (without any positive tests) during the time of the grand jury investigation.

I've always felt there was something to all these allegations. It keeps coming up too often with too many credible organizations raising these allegationf for so many years that I figure there is something probably behind it. Probably never know the truth, but obviously some are convinced he doped up before competing.

Agreed. Sort of a "where there's smoke, there's fire" thing.

Why would dozens of $250/hour government lawyers take millions of dollars from taxpayers if they were simply overinvestigating every rumor? You have to be able to tell the good guys from the bad guys.

The government lawyers weren't able to convince a grand jury over a two-year period that Armstrong should be charged.

So, we get the USADA flexing what little muscle it has at this point. The only thing that sucks is that Armstrong will be banned from running competitive triathlons, which aren't even dope-tested.

The government should spend zero time on such things. Either way, who gives a shit? If proven he doped, the only thing Armstrong did was level the playing field. If every one in the sport is doing it, then no one has an advantage.
