Coming off an impressive tour win and tying Jack for most PGA victories, Tiger is under par on the first day of the US open and likely will finish the first day on the leaderboard. His playing partners Mickelson and Watson are struggling at 5 and 7 over. Ouch I could use a good dose of Tiger fever this summer . . .
tiger drops a long birdie putt . . . two under and charging up the leaderboard. (Phil goes to 6 over)
I won't consider him "back" until I see him play with confidence multiple tourneys consecutively. But if what we're seeing from him today holds through the weekend, then I'll be very interested in watching the British.
Well, he's won 2 tournaments so far. I think he's back. He's not (and never will be) he once was, but he's back.
Will he break Jack's record for major wins is how I see Tiger being back Before the "episode," no one was asking if but rather when. Now the question has turned to if he will break the record. If Tiger is back (relatively speaking, agree we will never see the Tiger of old), then he should be able to pull out 5 majors in the remainder of his career. If he doesn't, then I don't recall ever seeing anyone's sports career turn so fast because of adultry.
