Lillards interview with Rice. The way he carries himself reminds me a lot of Broy. Some workout footage in there too. http://www.nba.com/blazers/tbtv/video.html?videoID=3784
This franchise has a history of picking the wrong big man!!!!! I really think that will be in the back of their minds.
I like this guy, every time I hear something new it Iseems to make me more comfortable with selecting him sixth. I think many of the people down on him are just being stubborn.
Here is the video from Drummonds workout today. http://www.nba.com/blazers/tbtv/video.html?videoID=3785
Seems like a nice enough kid ... and dammit, that's just the problem! I want a self-confident, semi-a-hole at number six.
I think it's almost a lock that Portland takes Lillard, to me the big question is whether they can move up from 11 to snag him in the 8-9 range and get one of the other players (Drummond/Barnes/MKG). If they can't move up I think they take Lillard at 6. Given what he accomplished in college and if they feel that he will translate then I think he jumps into the same level as guys like Barnes/Drummond/Beal. If Lillard went to a bigger school then I think there is no question he would be a top 5 pick.
This week will be exactly five years from his first workout:
You know most of the big centers in the NBA are...enigmatic? to put it nicely IMO.....I mean Bynum, McGee, Jordan, even Dwight Howard...they all seem to be in thier own world at times....
